A painting's colour, surface and scale are its identity. The job on a reproduction shoot is a file that matches the piece: true colour, glare
eliminated rather than managed, a rectangular canvas that reads as a rectangle. Colour is verified against a physical reference rather than judged by eye. Nothing added, nothing softened, no interpretation.
For a full collection or an estate, that standard holds across every piece, which matters more than it sounds. A body of work photographed inconsistently over several sessions is difficult to publish and harder to value, because nothing in it can be compared to anything else in it.
What it's used for
Gallery submissions and dealer inventory. Auction consignment. Insurance and probate documentation. Exhibition catalogues and monographs. Archival records for an estate or a family collection. Fine art print reproduction, where the file has to carry the surface of the original and not a flattened version of it.
What a project delivers
Files at archival medium-format resolution, ready for print, publication or the permanent record, with colour consistent across every piece in a collection. Retouching in-house. For works that cannot travel, the shoot happens on site, at the gallery, the storage facility or the residence.
Based in Athens, working across Greece and the EU. Paintings, works on paper, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media. Sculpture and three-dimensional work is lit as a material problem rather than a flat copy job, and is quoted accordingly.
Estates and larger collections
Collections of twenty pieces and upward are quoted per project rather than per piece, with a documented colour standard applied across the set so the archive stays internally consistent whatever it's later used for.
