Commercial fashion and beauty work is built around where the image ends up: e-commerce on model, lookbooks, campaign stills, and accessories worn on body — jewelry, eyewear, bags, shoes. The garment has to read correctly at thumbnail size, and the color has to hold from the first frame of a season to the last.

Most of the difficulty is material. Leather, lacquer, chrome hardware, sheer fabric, and skin all behave differently under the same light, and a set that mixes them drifts unless it is controlled from the start. Controlling it is what keeps a season's images looking like one set rather than ten separate days.
